Making the bottom of the reservoir
The first stage in the construction of any decorative pond – marking outlines and digging the pit. Of course, if we plan a reservoir in a landscape style, it is desirable that its outlines be wrong, unconstrained. It is best to define the boundaries in advance.
And now we take a shovel and dig a pit with steep walls, uniform over the entire area.
This is the first and very important mistake of many. The final result at best will resemble a bath or a pool, but not a natural pond. Remember the natural reservoirs (after all, we take them as a sample): it is very rare to find a lake in nature with sheer cliffs on all sides (except for mountain lakes, but they also require an appropriate environment).
